I have a10 month old Morkie. She is white, so the tear stains look awful. I am trying the coconut oil now and hoping it will work. I believe it will take trial and error to finally find what works on my puppy, because I’m thinking every dog is unique. Thanks for all the tips.

I have a one yr old morkiepoo with tear stains. Some people say blocked tear ducts is the cause. Yes, diet, cleanliness + genetic makeup attribute. Want to try baby wipes & a better diet. Thanks or info.

In reply to Lesa D Fertig. If nothing works, he may have allergies that cause his eyes to tear up. Our little Morkie has eye stains and tearing from allergies to some food and all pollen. Some pups never complain so it’s hard to tell. Our sweet girl gets relief from Cytopoint shots. She gets them monthly which can be tough, but so worth it. Apoquil helped but Cytopoint helps her more. I am not saying to get him shots for eye stains - please don’t do that. Only saying to get him checked for allergies at the vet.

I’m going to try the baby wipes. I was using Essential Pet Expert Approved Tear Stain Wipes.

In reply to Amelia Wolfie. I like the Angel Eyes powder. You apply it to their food. Best to give wet food. You do not apply angel eyes to the coat of the dog. I am also trying the angel eyes wipes twice a day.

A few years ago, I switched my Morkie to a raw meet diet. He hasn’t had tear stains since then. He was on Orijen, a high quality grain-free diet before that and always had some tearing. He also keeps to a perfect weight now. It seems perfect for him!

I used Angel eyes cleaner on my Bichon and it didnot work very well.
