I take my 10 wk old Morkie out to potty. No playing outside- only pottying. She does occasionally potty inside if she’s had too much water. She really wants to lap the water up. I’ve been monitoring her water & that has helped. But, she definitely knows outside is for pottying. And I start her @ the same spot every time.

I am right there with you, my morkie boy is 18 weeks old and will pee and poop in his kennel and not care at all. I take him out every 15-20 minutes and he will pee sometimes, I give him a treat and praise him but he will not poop. As soon as we come in, he poops. It’s very frustrating, I’ve never had a problem with potty training before and dont know what else to do…

My morkie shreds the puppy pads and runs all over the house with it.

We need help too. I should have read more about this before I got her but now I love her so much I can’t do anything about it. I throw a new area rug out every few months.

I got my morkie at 4 months. She has her good days and her bad. When we got her she had not been worked with. I used to train search and rescue dogs,so hopefully that will help me train my morkie rosie.

Dogs won’t go where they sleep, and so mine sleep with me. The minute we get up I put them on pee pads and sit with them until they do. Then comes the reward and praise. As they got older I took the pee pad outside and they got it. Love, praise, treats, and patience.

Bring him in wait mayb 3-5minutes then take him back out. Don’t let him play outside until he knows it’s for potty only.

Oh, Please don’t connect nose tapping to being bad. The cute little nose is adorable and worthy of kisses. My little guy will rub his nose on my nose and we call it Eskimo kisses and we love that little activity. I would hate for him to think his nose means bad boy.
I adopted mine at three years old and he does not know how to ask me to go outside. Very strange but true.. So in our case I am the one that is trained- I take him out four times a day,, first immediately when we get out of bed I take him out immediately and he poops and peas I don’t bring him until he does both. Then between 11 and one I take him out again to P only. Then I feed him at five and take him outside and he usually both peas and poops and if he doesn’t poop then he will poop when I take him out at 10:30 before we go to bed and P.. so I am trained to take him out those four times and he no longer makes any mistakes. He used to though until he got used to the schedule. I never disciplined him for the mistakes. I just cleaned it up and went on. He’s a happy little guy all the time!!
